Have a question? Email us and we'll be happy to answer. In the meantime, we want your experience to be just as special as the wedding gown you’ll choose, so here are some of our most commonly asked questions as well as some pointers for making the most of your day shopping with us.

With so many choices, what makes LeAnn’s Bridal the place to find your gown?

Our amazing team! We want your wedding to be a fun, relaxed and happy time in your life. Our brides are treated like family here at the boutique. We pride ourselves on offering the very best in customer service. Our knowledgeable stylists, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence are just a few of the reasons to choose LeAnn’s. We understand that finding your dress is a personal and often overwhelming decision. Through one-on-one appointments, guided by our experienced stylists, every bride feels welcomed, excited and at ease in our boutique.

What is the price range of gowns carried at LeAnn’s?

Our special order bridal gowns start at $1,500 and go up $7,000. When you schedule your appointment, please let us know what your budget is and your stylist will keep your options within your price range. Keep in mind that your accessories and alterations will be additional to the price of the dress. We also typically have sample-sale selections, which are dresses that have been gently worn to try styles on. Dresses range in styles and sizes, and these dresses usually range from $900-$1,200, and they are sold in as-is condition and go home with you the same day of the purchase.

Do I need an appointment or can I just walk-in?

Yes, and yes (though a call to the store first would be helpful for us and for you.) Brides with appointments will receive priority in the shop, however, if we have a stylist and a time slot available, we will be happy to help you. If you are wanting to do a walk-in appointment, our suggestion would be to first call the salon to inquire about the availability for that day. All appointments are one-on-one with a salon stylist. The stylist is there to help you select gowns, change in and out of gowns and answer your questions, all within the comfort of a private suite for you and your guests. For these reasons, we do not allow brides to try on gowns without the assistance of a stylist. Trust us, your experience will be worth the wait (if any!) We will do our best to help and we appreciate your patience. Shopping for wedding gowns can be a delicate, emotional experience. Please allow us to give you our complete undivided attention as we offer you an experience unlike any other.

How long will my appointment last?

Appointments last approximately 90 minutes. We begin with an offer of water, champagne or a mimosa, and then taking the time to talk to you about your personal style, and to understand the vision you have dreamt about for your most special day! (Pinterest boards are ALWAYS so helpful to you and to us!) With your personal consultation, we’ll provide honest opinions and advice on proper fits. Whether you desire ‘rustic chic’, ‘old hollywood glam’, ’classic romance’, or you’re a ‘couture bride’ – rest assured, you can expect to find a wedding gown you’ll love at LeAnn’s Bridal.

How many guests can I bring to my appointment?

We recommend, especially considering the current social and health climate, that you limit your party to four or less during your visit at LeAnn’s. We have found that the opinions of a trusted few always make for an easier decision for you. Also, FaceTime/Skype/Zoom/etc. are welcomed in your appointment, and it can be a great way to include everyone. With that being said, sometimes you have a large family and can’t imagine choosing a dress without one of them. We will do our very best to accommodate you and your guests. We often find it difficult to accommodate having small children since we have heavy mirrors and lots of straight pins (safety first), so we ask that you please do not bring children under the age of 12. If you have any extenuating circumstances, please call first and we will do our best to find a time that will best accommodate your needs. Saturdays are the busiest, so weekday appointments are highly encouraged for any special request appointments.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

First of all, expect to have a fun, laid-back experience. Come ready for a good time and be prepared to find a dress you will love. You and your guests will be introduced to your stylist, who will get to know you and your personal style. It's always helpful to bring pictures of styles you are attracted to. Your stylist will show you to the seating area for your friends and family and then take you to your private fitting suite. Your stylist may help you change in the dressing room, so be sure to wear undergarments that will meet your comfort/modesty level, and that are in a neutral color to your skin tone. Then, be prepared to woo your friends and family with our fabulous gowns!

What is a trunk show?

Our Designers create new collections once or twice a year. A trunk show is your chance to see everything from the newest collection--including styles just off the New York runways, not yet available in stores. Sometimes, the designer will be in attendance and will be available to help you find the perfect look, which is a fun and exciting addition to your experience! Trunk shows only last a couple of days, typically scheduled on a weekend, and appointments fill up quickly. We recommend you book early if one of your favorite designers will be featured. Trunk Shows at LeAnn’s are a lot of fun and we typically have featured vendors including dessert samples! However, make sure you come prepared. The gown you love may only be in the store for the weekend, so the Trunk Show is your chance to take the plunge! Discounts apply on trunk show merchandise during the trunk show dates only.

Does it really take 9-12 months to make a gown? When do I have to order my gown?

Order time depends solely on your designer. All of our gowns are made to order and based on the designer's production schedule. A gown can take as few as four months or as many as six to make. Some designers have rush options, but fees do apply. Give yourself plenty of time for your alterations (typical timing for alterations is 1.5-2 months, as there are multiple fittings usually needed to get your gown fitted perfectly to you) and make sure you have your gown for long enough prior to your wedding that you are not stressing about it in the months prior! There are no rules about how long it should take to find or how many you should try on. Some brides buy the first dress they try on from the first store they visit, some take months of trying--it all depends on what you want. Once you find a gown that excites you, that you feel good in, that you want to wear on that special day, and that you don't want to take off during your appointment, go ahead and say "YES!" And then expect to feel relieved that you didn't wait 'til the last minute!

Don’t freak out when you choose the size for your gown.

It is not unusual to order a size or two larger in your bridal gown than you would typically wear in every day clothing (ex. a bride that is a street size 8 would likely order a gown that is sized at a 10 or 12). Sizing depends upon each designer’s individual size chart.

Do you have plus-size samples?

Well of course we do! We do our best to accommodate as many beautiful body types as possible with our sample dresses. For this reason, the majority of our samples are sizes 8-14 and we have a small selection of sample gowns size 16-32. This allows us to get the largest range of various body types, both smaller and larger, into our gowns and order just the right size for each of our brides. We use pins and modesty panels for dresses that are on the small side, and clips for dresses that are too big, in order to give you the best possible idea of what our dresses will fit like when they are tailored to you. We absolutely understand that this is a major shopping experience and it isn’t enjoyable for anyone if we don’t carry what you are looking for! If you have specific questions or if you would like to speak to someone directly about your size concerns and learn more about what we have just for you, please email us directly.

What if I am planning on losing a lot of weight before my wedding?

We will always order your gown in the size you are at the time of ordering. We know that it is always better to err on the side of caution, as a dress can be easily reduced in size. Your seamstress will be able to take it in to fit you, however, more than two dress sizes is not recommended.

Does LeAnn’s have in-house alterations?

No, we do not. In our experience, the best couture seamstresses have their own businesses, and we don't want anyone but the best touching your gown! Additionally, by enabling you to use any seamstress you want, you can rest assured that are not profiting from the alterations portion of your experience. Our experienced team will answer your questions about how your gown can be altered. Your tailor will define the contours of the gown in line with your figure, hem as necessary, add the bustle and provide any personal modifications you choose. We are happy to provide referrals and we recommend that you interview your tailor to ensure that you are communicating effectively.

Do you ever sell your floor samples at a discount? Are they still nice enough to wear on my big day? I don't want to look like I'm wearing a 'used' dress.

We rotate our stock on a regular basis and pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our store and our samples. We frequently sell samples in an effort to make space for the new gowns we have arriving all the time. This works in your favor, as the samples are in excellent condition and are available at a sizeable discount! Be sure to let your stylist know that you are interested in trying on samples. Additionally, we will have sample sales, so be sure to check the site for dates—the good stuff will go quickly so be sure to schedule as soon as as you see we’re having a Sample Sale.

How can I pay for my dress?

We always ask for payment in full of the cost to order your dress; this is non-refundable. We will also need to measure you and take some personal details so that we can order the correct size and contact you when your dress arrives. We accept cash, personal check, and all major credit cards. Payments can be done over the phone or through email if necessary, however, we would need to have your measurements taken already so that we can ensure that we are ordering your correct size.

Here are some tips for getting the most out of your visit:

  • Be on time to your appointment. It’s best to arrive a few minutes early so that you can have the full two hours with your stylist.

  • Be courteous of other brides who may have an appointment after you. Once your appointment is over, make room for other guests so they can begin on time. If you need more time to find your perfect dress, we will gladly extend your appointment if there is not an appointment scheduled immediately after yours. Or we will be happy to schedule a second appointment for you.

  • Determine a comfortable budget. Make sure and discuss with your family before you come in to avoid any awkward moments! Our stylists will respect your budget and will be sure to help you stay within your price range.

  • Wear your hair in a style similar to what you think you'll wear on your wedding day. That way you can see how it looks with the neckline of the dresses, and how the headpieces will look.

  • Keep an open mind. Dresses look very different on a person than they do on the hanger.

  • You are preparing for one of the best days of your life so HAVE FUN!

  • More importantly, buy the dress that makes you feel most like yourself because that’s who he fell in love with.

We hope that you will join us for a “once in a lifetime” bridal gown shopping experience. We are excited and honored at the prospect of working with you during one of the most happy and joyous times in your life. Our goal is to make the process of finding your gown enjoyable and memorable at LeAnn’s Bridal.
